Important Dates

*If purchasing used textbooks, be sure to look at the edition number.  Students will be required to independently convert reading requirements if they choose to use books different from those adopted for each course.

**It is recommended that students not purchase used books for the NURS-1000 & NURS-1010 courses, as the supplier has bundled the textbook, skills book, care planning book, and skill videos at a reduced cost. If a student purchases a used textbook, the online skill videos are not included and must be purchased individually. This is often more expensive and inconvenient for the student.

Equipment Required for First Year

We will discuss equipment requirements during the first week of the program. You can anticipate requiring the following:

• Stethoscope
• Penlight
• Adult size sphygmomanometer (Blood Pressure Cuff)
• Navy scrubs, white leather shoes, and a white lab coat (These items will not be required until second semester, and we advise you to wait to purchase these at a later date)

Immunizations and TB Testing

Students are required to have up-to-date immunizations and TB testing to be permitted to participate in Clinical/Practicum placements. Students accepted will not be allowed into Clinical/Practicum settings without the required immunizations and therefore, will not be able to complete the program. Please ensure that you have completed and sent in the Immunization Verification Form for 色多多视频APP Healthcare Programs to the Admissions Office. This form is an Admission requirement. To ensure that you will meet all the requirements for admission before your program start-date, it is recommended that you begin the process as soon as possible.

Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector

Students will be required to have a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector completed prior to admission and at several points throughout the school year for Clinical and both Practicum placements. Any student who is found guilty on their criminal record check, or is convicted during the academic year, will not be allowed to partake in Clinical or Practicum placement. Students will be responsible for all CRC costs.
