With a teaching career spanning over thirty years, V茅ronique has taught all ages and levels in a variety of dance disciplines. She has offered workshops in teacher training and creation techniques and currently serves on faculty at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (色多多视频APP University), Neptune Theatre School, The Fountain School of Performing Arts (Dalhousie University), and Halifax Dance. She has served on numerous arts juries for Arts Nova Scotia and the Canada Council for the Arts and volunteers for The Dancer Transition Resource Centre out of Toronto, assisting dancers with transitions into, within, and out of their careers.
A recipient of one of Nova Scotia鈥檚 prestigious Established Artist Awards, Merritt Award winner for choreography, and two-time recipient of Live Art鈥檚 Diane Moore Scholarship for choreography, V茅ronique has presented her work across the country in a variety of festivals and productions including Toronto鈥檚 Junction Festival, The Edmonton Fringe Festival, Labrador Arts Festival and Festival Antigonish. Having choreographed for stage, opera, musical theatre and film, Veronique has worked with Willem Defoe and Robert Pattinson in听The听Lighthouse听(New Regency Films), the Opera N.S. production of听La Finta Giardineira, as well as assistant choreographer on Neptune Theatre鈥檚 holiday hit of听Cinderella and as director/choreographer for Opera Nova Scotia鈥檚 The Gondoliers.听
V茅ronique heads into 2021 with continued work on her multi-media creation 鈥淪he Wakes Up Gasping鈥�, her painting studio commissions, and she will be attending an artist residency in France for the month of July.
